A Drop of Faith

When we hear about a Tropical Storm in Sugar Land, Texas, usually we have days to prepare, not so with Harvey, It came and did not want to leave. From Saturday, August 25 to Tuesday, August 29, 2017, rained 45 inches in my neighborhood.
Today, August 31, 2017, the sun is shining. We are under a flood warning from the Brazos River. We do not know what tomorrow may bring after the river crest.
May God protect us from the floods. May God’s angels hold back the waters and keep us safe.
Rivers have always flooded. The drought we have experienced in Texas has been long, so long that we have forgotten what a flood is. Floods are part of nature. The flooding rain enriches the fertility of the land. When rivers flood the cover the land in areas that usually they do not flow to. The land is renewed and we hope that a fruitful harvest will follows.
We are created in God’s image. God made us out of love. God knows us inside out. God is in control. God is all powerful. He made us and gave us His law to follow for us to grow and prosper.
Let us consecrate ourselves, our families, all that we are, all that we have, and all that we will be to God. Let our communities and our state acknowledge Jesus, as King of kings and Lord of lords.
Let us live like a community guided by the love of God. The great gift God has given us. Let us remember:
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him might not perish but might have eternal life.”
John 3:16
Let us gather with our families and pray the rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy every day.
Jesus, We Trust in You!
